Straight answers
The questions we hear most, answered plainly.
Is exterior waterproofing better than interior?
Exterior waterproofing keeps water from reaching the wall at all: we dig to the footing, clean the wall, apply Blueskin membrane and Platon dimple board, then backfill and grade away from the house. It's usually the most complete fix for water coming through foundation walls. We'll tell you honestly if a smaller repair will do.
How do you stop basement flooding?
It depends on where the water comes from. Seepage through walls and cracks is fixed from the outside with exterior waterproofing, crack repair and grading. Sewer backups through the floor drain need a licensed plumber. Our Flood Protection page explains the difference.
